1. Immigration levels in provinces and territories

Translate these data into visual form:

• Identify the province that has the highest proportion of total immigrants (for example, Ontario has 54.9% of the total immigrant population).
• Multiply this percentage by 0.5 to determine the length of each side of the square that will represent this province (for example, 54.9 x 0.5 = 27.5 cm).
• Calculate the length of the sides of the squares that represent the remaining provinces and territories in the same manner (for example, British Columbia has 18.1% of the total immigrant population, 18.1 x 0.5 = 9.0 cm).

Translate these data into visual form:

Letter Campaign

Once you have completed the research on your company, write a letter to them about your opinion on their production chain. 

• Have a clear and identifiable stance on the company’s production practices. You are free to express your opinion about the company; you can praise, condemn, disapprove, boycott, applaud, compliment, etc. 
• You will need to mention at least ten facts that you found while researching.
• You are also free to include any other research that you come across, including statistics or photos.
• Your letter must be professional and addressed personally to an individual in the company.
• Suggest ways that the company can change some of its practices
• The final copy of your letter must be a minimum of 250 words
